Shreveport Municipal Auditorium is commonly thought to be one of the most haunted buildings in North Louisiana. The building, which has operated as an entertainment venue since opening in 1929, has been investigated by well-known paranormal investigation teams including SyFy's Ghost Hunters as well as Discovery's Ghost Lab. In addition to its "haunted history," Shreveport Municipal Auditorium is widely known for its historic connections to The Louisiana Hayride, a country music variety show and radio broadcast that helped launch the careers of Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, George Jones, and other icons of American music.
