Equalum announced today that leading global industrial manufacturer Siemens Digital Industries Software has selected the Equalum real-time data ingestion platform to manage data pipelines powering its market-leading supply chain analytics solution Product Intelligence app. Product Intelligence has been integrated with MindSphere®, the cloud-based, open IoT operating system from Siemens. Initial results in leveraging Equalum with MindSphere have shown significant improvements in cost and performance.

“As a trusted OEM to businesses worldwide, Siemens ingests extremely large volumes of data in order to gain actionable insights,” said Dan Heyn, MindSphere Analytics R&D Senior Director. “It’s critical that we and our partners and customers have up-to-date visibility into manufacturing operations to bring innovative products to market more quickly and efficiently.”

Siemens Digital Industries Software is driving transformation to enable a digital enterprise where engineering, manufacturing and electronics design meet tomorrow. The Xcelerator portfolio helps companies of all sizes create and leverage digital twins that provide organizations with new insights, opportunities and levels of automation to drive innovation. Product Intelligence is a cloud-based application that runs on MindSphere, Siemens’ cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) operating system that enables enterprises to harness their wealth of machine data to power advanced analytics and drive business growth.

Equalum’s innovative data processing engine leverages breakthroughs in big data frameworks like Apache Spark and Kafka for infinite scalability in both batch and real-time delivery scenarios.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to partner with a global leader like Siemens,” said Nir Livneh, Equalum CEO. “Our vision is to enable data-heavy enterprises to effortlessly centralize their data to power real-time analytics – with no coding required, and with performance and stability an order of magnitude greater than anything else on the market.

Equalum offers a fully-managed, end-to-end data ingestion platform for organizations looking to centralize their operational data in data warehouses or data lakes. Built to harness the scalability of Spark and Kafka, Equalum offers a zero-coding interface and supports both batch and streaming data ingestion.

“We’re very happy with the results we have achieved with Equalum,” said Heyn. “As the pace of change in our market accelerates, more powerful data pipelines and up-to-date analytics are critical to our customers, and to the future success of the MindSphere partner ecosystem. Equalum is a key enabler to that end.”
