Green (Ret.) has joined our panel of neutrals, where she will mediate and arbitrate complex civil and commercial disputes, including breach of contract, tort, real estate, False Claims Act, product liability, and health care matters. Judge Green began her career as a federal litigator. After working at Hale and Dorr for two years, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts, where she brought and defended cases on behalf of the United States and served as Deputy Chief of the Civil Division. In 1987, she returned to private practice at Hale and Dorr and was elected a senior partner in 1990. She served as Chief of Staff to Governor William F. Weld in 1993, until her appointment as First Assistant U.S. Attorney. In that position, she oversaw the civil and criminal litigation of about 90 assistant U.S. attorneys, served as Acting U.S. Attorney in cases from which the U.S. Attorney was recused, and led the office's health care fraud enforcement initiative. In 1996, she again returned to private practice, where she defended companies and their executives in high-stakes business litigation, government investigations, and False Claims Act matters, chaired Hale and Dorr's Litigation Department and later, co-chaired that of WilmerHale,
Judge Green worked as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 2016 to 2022. She presided over both criminal and civil cases, including those in the Business Litigation Session, which handles complex commercial disputes. After leaving the bench, Green established her own firm, Green Law LLC, where she has resolved business cases through mediation and arbitrated as a member of the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Commercial Arbitrators and National Judicial Payor-Provider Panel.

She served as President of the Litigation Counsel of America, co-chairs the Rule of Law Leadership Council of the World Justice Project, and is a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School.
Judge Green earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University/Radcliffe College. In 2015, she was a Fellow at Harvard University's Advanced Leadership Initiative.
