One of California's most experienced tort mediators brings more than 30 years of mediation experience and over 5,000 resolved disputes to Signature Resolution

One of California's most experienced tort mediators, Bob has guided more than 5,000 litigated disputes to resolution since 1994, building one of the state's most established personal injury mediation practices and becoming a trusted neutral for catastrophic injury and complex tort matters.
Bob's approach is grounded in a belief developed over decades of mediation: disputes often become more difficult when parties no longer feel heard. He is known for giving participants the time and space to fully express their positions before turning to negotiation, using careful listening to identify what is actually preventing movement. From there, he adapts his approach to the needs of the case, moving between patience and direct pressure to help parties confront difficult realities and find a path forward.

His experience extends to construction, construction defect, product liability, professional liability, government and public sector disputes, and insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
His perspective is also informed by having represented both sides of disputes during his litigation career. Before devoting his practice to mediation, Bob represented injured plaintiffs as well as corporate defendants, giving him firsthand insight into the different pressures, strategies, and expectations parties bring to the mediation room. That ability to understand a dispute from multiple perspectives strengthens his credibility with counsel and clients on both sides of a case.

He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has written and lectured extensively on mediation strategy and practice, including as an invited instructor at Pepperdine University's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Bob earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University. He has also completed advanced mediation training through the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
