This is B’laster’s first major acquisition, expanding the types of products in their portfolio, providing a western base for distribution capabilities, and it nearly doubling their revenue. SCA’s advisory team helped craft the letter of intent, negotiated the deal, raise the transaction capital, and worked with the management team to refine their short- and long-term growth plans.

“The global pandemic added extraordinary challenges to secure capital. However, a combination of the company’s very good operating and financial performance through the pandemic and our ability to continuously evolve the structure of the deal allowed us to obtain very favorable financing.”

Signet Capital Advisors (“SCA”), a financial advisory firm providing sell-side, buy-side, capital raising, and debt placement services to middle market clients, served as buy-side advisor to Ohio-based The B’laster Corporation. (“B’laster”), a manufacture of penetrants, lubricants, rust inhibitors and more for the automotive, industrial and hardware industries, in the acquisition of Texas-based AC Avalanche (“AC Avalanche”), a division from TSI Products, Inc. that manufactures recharging systems for automotive air conditioners.

“We began looking for transaction financing on April 1st, 2020,” said Mike Paparella, Managing Director of Signet Capital Advisors. “The global pandemic added extraordinary challenges to secure capital. However, a combination of the company’s very good operating and financial performance through the pandemic and our ability to continuously evolve the structure of the deal allowed us to obtain very favorable financing.”

B’laster is now positioned to leverage the added size and product offerings. Their customers - including key national retailers like AutoZone, NAPA Auto Parts, O’Reilly, Walmart - are excited about the bundling of these products coming from a single supplier with an expanded supply chain. AC Avalanche will remain in Arlington, TX.

“The Signet Capital Advisor team expertly executed the acquisition of AC Avalanche, which helped us strengthen our portfolio of automotive aftermarket brands,” said Randy Pindor, President & Chief Operating Officer of B’laster. “They crafted a deal that represents the strategic evolution of the B’laster brand legacy and builds on our many years of success. As we look to the future, we are also keeping our focus on innovation and organic growth to complement this acquisition.”

B’laster will continue to operate out of the corporate headquarters in Valley View, Ohio, where they plan to add employees to support both divisions.
