Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have honored Silverado as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Aging Services.
IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) September 28, 2018
The ranking considered more than 76,000 employee surveys from companies in the Aging Services industry. Great Place to Work®, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and recognize companies who best include all employees, no matter their level or role within the organization. Silverado placed 27 out of 40 highly-respected industry peers.
“For more than 20 years, Silverado has been building on our high-trust culture which has been invaluable to not only the level of care, but to improving quality of life for our residents, patients, families, and associates,” shares Loren Shook, President, CEO and Chairman. “We are gratified to have been named a Great Place to Work® earlier this year. Fortune’s ‘Best Workplaces for Aging Services’ recognition further validates the work our associates are committed to everyday, providing world-class, innovative care for individuals living with memory impairment and those at the end of life’s journey.”
Silverado continues to sustain a strong culture, driven by our core operating philosophy of Love is Greater Than Fear, which has been the foundation that guides how associates work and live. Laurie Jerome, SVP Talent Management states, “Through Love>Fear, we’ve been able to convey Silverado’s unique, purpose-driven culture and bring it to life in hiring, onboarding and developing our compassionate associates.”
“The aging services industry is rapidly growing and with aging Baby Boomers, consumer preferences are changing even more dramatically. Companies need to adapt their organizations and offerings to remain competitive,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “Organizations like Silverado stand out from the crowd, intentionally growing their businesses by creating great places to work.”
