NEW YORK, April 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sim Shalom Online Synagogue offers services during the Festival of Passover and on Yom Hashoah. Are you a firstborn child? Attend Sim Shalom's "Fast of the Firstborn Service" on Friday, April 19th at 9:00am and skip fasting.
To attend all of Sim Shalom's services free go to our website and click where it says go live. We stream on Facebook and on Ustream, whichever works for you. There is also a live chat option to communicate with Rabbi Steve Blane and other attendees.
On Friday April 19th, the first night of Passover, Rabbi Blane will represent Sim Shalom and lead a short seder from 6-6:45PM at The Knickerbocker Bar and Grill in New York City.
On Friday, April 26th at 7:00pm EST join Rabbi Blane online for a Tal and Yizkor service. On Passover many Jewish communities recite a special prayer called Tefillat Tal, literally "the prayer for dew" as well as the traditional Jewish Memorial Service called Yizkor. Yizkor is recited four times a year during holiday synagogue services and allows a designated and formal time for Jews to say prayers of mourning.
And on Friday, May 3rd join Rabbi Blane for Songs, Readings and Meditation to honor those who died in the Holocaust at a Yom Hashoah service.
