NEW YORK, May 23, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sim Shalom Online Synagogue continues to grow and soars into Summer with ongoing nightly services. Sim Shalom offers Friday night Shabbat and weeknight services Monday through Thursday. These evening services are led by a cadre of unique Rabbis from across the country who were trained at the Jewish Spiritual Leaders' Institute.
Monday nights are led by Rabbi Deborah McKenzie from Maryland, a chemist by day, Rabbi Deborah brings her passion of interconnectedness of all things to her well attended services.
Rabbi Karen Becker-Marcelo (FL) leads on Tuesday nights. Rabbi Karen is a retired teacher who loves to educate the congregation and is continually honing her skills in technology and Jewish history. She teaches the J-LEaP Program for the Jewish Spiritual Leaders' Institute (JSLI) and trains potential Rabbinic students in Hebrew.
Rabbis Nancy Tunick (TN) and Elias Zwang (CA) share Wednesday evenings. Nancy hails from Tennessee and has led beautiful musical services for Sim Shalom for years. She is also a founding rabbi of the Union of Jewish Universalist Communities, a professional association of Jewish clergy. Elias is a Californian and alternates Wednesday nights with Nancy. Elias is also heading up Friday night services for Sim Shalom and brings his enthusiasm and joy to everything he does.
Rabbis Shoshana "Shush" Carson (TN) and RuthE Levy (GA) share Thursdays. Both were recently installed as Sim Shalom Associate Rabbis. Shush brings her lovely cantorial skills and warm spirit to services. RuthE is a wealth of knowledge from her world travels in the military and being the owner of Jewish bookstore in Atlanta.
