World-class Health Tech Executive To Help Catalyze Growth of the Leading SaaS ASC Management Platform

SimplifyASC, developer of EHR and practice management solutions specialized for the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) market announced the appointment of Scott Kolesar, healthcare technology senior executive, to its board of directors effective August 15, 2018.

“We are honored to have Scott Kolesar join our board. It’s not often leaders of Scott’s caliber commit to serve early-stage growth companies. Scott stands firmly behind our vision to deliver solutions tailored to the realities of how ASCs actually function, as their needs are unique. His participation is a testament to the future potential of SimplifyASC; and his deep experience with next-generation health IT solutions will bring additional momentum to SimplifyASC’s growth,” said David Howerton, CEO of the company.

Kolesar currently serves as America’s Health Technology Innovation and Digital Leader at EY, where he is responsible for the design and execution of growth strategies and health IT solution innovation. Prior to EY, Scott served as Principal for Deloitte Consulting in the Life Sciences & Healthcare practice, leading healthcare strategy, population health management and value-based care strategy. Kolesar has served in executive roles at UHG/Optum, Huron Consulting Group, and Hewlett-Packard.

“Scott brings extensive experience in management and technology consulting disciplines including enterprise systems implementation, software design, vendor evaluation and performance improvement. Kolesar’s addition to the board signifies SimplifyASC’s commitment to customer needs and operational excellence,” said Dave Vreeland, Managing Director of Jumpstart Capital, a SimplifyASC investor.

The appointment of Kolesar brings the SimplifyASC board to four members, including David Howerton, CEO; Dave Vreeland, Managing Director of Jumpstart Capital; and Joseph Byrum, CEO of Continental Gulf Inc. The new board appointment marks another milestone in the growth of SimplifyASC, which secured a Series A investment from Jumpstart Capital earlier this month. Formerly known as CyramedX, SimplifyASC will unveil new branding in the coming weeks.
