Author Wallace J. Andrews addresses the ways the church has been influenced by the world, instead of the other way around, in Voice in the Wilderness: A Layman’s Perspective ($16.49, paperback, 9781662811654).
Andrews has been under the influence of various Christian churches throughout this lifetime. As he has examined the differences between doctrines and teachings, he noticed that many of them seemed to be influenced by the need to be politically correct or follow popular opinion, rather than truly being rooted in God’s Word. In this work, he addresses some of the critical issues he believes have been glossed over and buried in the frenzy to keep up.
“There is a need to navigate between the differences of biblical, doctrinal beliefs -- as the beliefs have taken front and center positions in being man-centered as opposed to the simplicity of God-inspired text -- for the purpose and desire of developing a personal relationship with our Heavenly Creator,”
Wallace J. Andrews was raised in a single-parent, traditional Baptist household but has also sat under the teaching of the Mormon, Pentecostal and Adventist churches. Confused by the myriad of doctrines from people claiming to worship the same God, he took it upon himself to address some fundamental truths.
