NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sketchfab, the premiere platform for publishing 3D content online, and American hip hop supergroup Run The Jewels launch a unique challenge for 3D creators worldwide: digitally remix the latest incarnation of the group's viral "pistol and fist" logo in the RTJ4D competition.
RTJ4 is the critically acclaimed new album from Run The Jewels. Each of their albums features an iteration of their unique logo. The logo has been embraced and transformed by the RTJ community since its inception, appearing in every form of art from sculpture to city-wide murals to tattoos.
Run The Jewels' long time collaborator Creative Director / Photographer Tim Saccenti said:
"The challenge with RTJ4 was how to evolve such iconic imagery and place it in a modern dimension. That next dimension was 3D [...] We also realized we could embrace the spirit of the RTJ fans by having the designs be "handed over" to them to go crazy and blow our minds."
This art challenge connects Run the Jewels with Sketchfab's brilliantly talented community of over 3 million artists and designers who can now download the group's models and remix them in unique and imaginative ways.
Sketchfab's extensive 3D importer ecosystem makes it easy to drop files directly into industry-standard creative software such as Blender, Cinema4D, Unity, and Substance by Adobe. Users of VR and AR can also import model files to platforms such as Spark AR (Instagram's AR filter-making studio) and Mozilla Hubs.
3D creatives interested in joining the challenge can learn more in the official challenge announcement, which includes details on how to enter and the awesome sponsored prizes from RTJ, XP-Pen, and Substance by Adobe.
