SKYE Associates Makes Investment in Butter Shoes

SKYE Associates, the ecommerce, catalog and marketing service based platform has made a significant investment in one of its largest wholesalers. In a move to increase its internal margin and broaden its reach of a very successful client on the company’s network, SKYE recognized an opportunity after two years of working with the brand.
Butter Shoes, founded in 2007, is currently manufacturing and wholesaling their shoes to over 200 better specialty stores across the United States and internationally. Lee Riech, a current partner in Butter Shoes, is retaining an interest in the company as well as heading up sales and manufacturing.
“In a very short amount of time, SKYE has been able to build a significant direct to consumer business. When I was approached with the idea of a deeper partnership, I knew that I could significantly increase the Butter reach and brand awareness as well as have access to the capital needed to build an on hand, re-order business,” Riech concluded.

SimplySoles.com, a multi-branded website and catalog company focused on higher end women's shoes and apparel, was acquired by SKYE in 2013. The investment in Butter Shoes will enhance SKYE’s effort in vertically integrating its private label business.
