CANCUN, Mexico, Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SLS Playa Mujeres hosted the inaugural Taste of SLS Playa Mujeres on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, bringing the brand's signature entertainment and culinary experience to the all-inclusive resort for the first time. Resort guests and locals filled the pool decks, restaurants and open-air venues for two nights of live music, chef-led dining and nightlife.
Presented with Bacardi as official lead spirit partner, shaping cocktail programming across every venue alongside Grey Goose, Patrón and St-Germain, while Ritz made an appearance among the welcome canapés. It all kicked off with an intimate VIP dinner led by Italian butcher and chef Dario Cecchini of Paris Society's global Carna and Bottega di Carna concepts, who brought his exclusive collaboration with SLS to the resort's table. Cuts were carved and plated in elaborate tableside presentations, trumpeting processions marked the evening's big moments, and a Champagne tower closed the night.
From there, the music took over. Grammy Award-winning duo The Chainsmokers headlined Friday night with a set of their chart-topping electronic hits. On Saturday, Colombian electro-tropical group Bomba Estéreo closed the weekend with its fusion of Latin rhythms and electronic beats. Between sets, Kyle Cooke of Bravo's In The City spun a DJ set, with his castmates and Love Island USA's Caleb McDaniel in the crowd.
Throughout the weekend, guests followed the smoke and spice across the resort's chef stations: live-fire brisket and tomahawk with barrel-aged Bacardi cocktails at The Smoking House by Union, St-Germain spritzes and shawarma at Cleo, and handmade pasta at Filia. Late night belonged to Caracol, where tacos al pastor met Patrón and Santo Gusano Mezcal. For 30 guests each evening, Brasserie Maxine served a five-course dinner of caviar, foie gras, Atlantic lobster and Japanese Wagyu with paired wines.
