GLENDALE, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2015 -- Fifteen California-based small businesses have received 30 government certifications through Small Business Community (SBC) Consultants, Inc. These certifications allow local small businesses to bid on and win state and federal contracts. SBC Consultants is currently in the process of assisting the acquisition of 31 more federal certifications for locally owned businesses, including nine Metro Small Business Enterprise (MSBE) and eight Metro Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MDBE) Certifications.
SBC Consultants, Inc. assists small businesses with their funding, business planning and small business certification needs by employing specialists who have a minimum 10 years industry experience and attained an MBA in their field of expertise.
All branches of the government and large prime contractors are required to give a percentage of their contracts to certified Small Businesses and Minority Owned Small Businesses. Federal, state and local certifications help small businesses to compete for contracts that they might not have previously had access to. The accreditations received vary widely based on the eligibility of the individual company. SBC Consultants, Inc. specializes in the Small Business Association (SBA) 8(a), Disadvantaged Businesses Enterprise (DBE), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Business (SB) Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certifications.
“The entrepreneurs who are able to attain these certifications are the best in their respective fields,” said Paul Mazbanian, Founder of SBC Consultants, Inc. and 2011 SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year. “We are able to help small businesses reach their potential by achieving the certifications that open up many new avenues.”
