Her background runs the gamut from client management to sales and marketing. She has spent much of the last decade focusing on strategic marketing, both locally and internationally, including her work at Hearst Louisville and as a marketing manager and then marketing director for the B2B channel at a privately owned automotive technology company based in Louisville.

Barnes's professional accomplishments include launching and managing an international expansion into Canada, implementing an internal customer relationship management tool for a nationwide sales fleet, and spearheading her former company's nationwide relaunch after COVID-related shutdowns.
