SmartBox Dental Creates New VP Role for Demand Generation

Southern Indiana native Morgan Barnes transitioned into her new role as SmartBox’s fifth VP on August 19. Her background runs the gamut from client management to sales and marketing. She has spent much of the last decade focusing on strategic marketing, both locally and internationally, including her work at Hearst Louisville and as a marketing manager and then marketing director for the B2B channel at a privately owned automotive technology company based in Louisville.

“SmartBox’s strategic needs in demand generation have grown as the company has scaled up,” said Colin Receveur, founder and CEO. “The timing was right to name our first VP of Demand Generation, which allows me to focus on the higher-level company strategy. This transition continues the great work our teams have been doing for the past two to three years in scaling up and adding new roles.”

Barnes’s professional accomplishments include launching and managing an international expansion into Canada, implementing an internal customer relationship management tool for a nationwide sales fleet, and spearheading her former company’s nationwide relaunch after COVID-related shutdowns.

“In my former position, I was awarded for my role in project-managing many of our larger initiatives,” said Barnes. “But I most enjoyed building a competent, dedicated team and seeing the key players recognized for their roles in pushing our team projects forward. By bringing this team-focused, goal-driven mindset to SmartBox, I’m confident I can help both our company and our clients succeed.”
