Ongoing integration project is expanded to include support for a HEDIS project, extracting data that is not available through traditional approaches to EHR integration.
CARY, N.C., Aug. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today Smartlink Health announced that Manifest MedEx, California's largest nonprofit health data network, has joined the ranks of Smartlink Health partners that have exceeded 100 Electronic Health Record (EHR) integrations. Since switching to Smartlink's Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Smartlink Data Connector, Manifest MedEx has cut the average time it takes to complete a clinic EHR integration by more than 70%.
In addition to the current integration project that is ongoing, Smartlink is also beginning work on a new integration project to extract deeper patient data needed by insurers for performance measurement and risk adjustment (the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set, or HEDIS). For this project, Smartlink will extract EHR data that is not available through traditional methods of integration such as via API and HL7.

Thus far, Smartlink has completed 115 integrations for Manifest MedEx that span twenty-seven different EHR brands, 75 of which were completed in just nine months. Depending on the EHR, integrations for Manifest MedEx are typically completed in a couple of days or weeks, with a large percentage being completed within a week.
