The award identifies shippers and service providers that collaborate to overcome critical supply chain challenges. Winners craft innovative solutions to extraordinary issues.

As conference chair Eric Stone, senior manager of domestic sourcing and supplier performance at Johnson & Johnson, offered some practical advice, showing the audience how to create added value in the freight transportation procurement process.
While price is important in freight transportation sourcing events, his team also considers the sustainability programs at their carrier partners, the diversity of those suppliers, and the companies' commitment to new technology. Finally, Stone is looking for carriers that are interested in long-term partnerships and collaboration.
