Meet the Dentists
Dr. Sofferman has been helping patients smile since 1982. He graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University and then received his DDS from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Sofferman is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and a member of numerous dental organizations. In his free time, Dr. Sofferman volunteers with multiple local and national charities.
Dr. Crocamo has been practicing dentistry since 1988. After completing his undergrad at Boston College, he earned his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Crocamo is a member of multiple dental associations. Dr. Crocamo works with a variety of local charities and coaches the Sprinters Swim Team at the Ansonia YMCA. He also enjoys competing in triathlons.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Ruiz earned her DMD in 2009 from the University of Puerto Rico and then completed her residency in general practice and hospital dentistry at Ohio State University, focusing on full-mouth restorations, cosmetic cases, and implant restorations. Dr. Ruiz moved to Connecticut in 2014, where she lives with her husband and two dogs. Dr. Ruiz enjoys traveling, hiking with her dogs, training for marathons, and watching Star Trek.
Dr. Theis was a chemical engineer before obtaining his DDM at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He completed a residency in orthodontics at the prestigious University of Washington Department of Orthodontics in Seattle, and has been practicing orthodontics for more than 15 years. Dr. Theis enjoys music, cooking, reading, automotive maintenance, ballet, and spending time with his wife and twin daughters.
