DANVILLE, Ill. (PRWEB) January 30, 2020
Smithereen Pest Management Services, an industry leader in pest control that serves commercial and residential customers across seven states, has announced its acquisition of Service Termite & Pest Control, serving Danville, Champaign-Urbana and Crawfordsville.
The acquisition, which took place at the end of 2019, allows Smithereen to introduce its proactive pest control philosophy results to customers in even more locations via the same great service under the Smithereen name and model.
Scott Siefert, Smithereen’s Director of Sales and Marketing, said existing Service Termite & Pest Control customers can rely on the same safe, reliable and competent treatments that the company has been offering at affordable prices since 1993.
“We already provide exceptional service to customers in seven different states and we’re proud to be able to expand into serving Champaign-Urbana, Danville and Crawfordsville,” Seifert said. “We are confident that customers will be pleased with the merger of the same great service they’ve known for years and the knowledge and expertise of our fourth-generation-owned company.”
In addition to reliable and safe pest control solutions that are delivered with professionalism and honesty, Smithereen’s mission is to consistently exceed customer expectations and industry standards, while providing a challenging and opportunistic work environment that allows employees to achieve maximum job satisfaction.
The company takes pride in being one of the first pest control companies to offer an Integrated Pest Management approach to pest issues and remains committed to developing its professional pest management services as a member of numerous industry associations, such as the National Pest Management Association, Greater Chicago Pest Management Alliance, Midwest Pesticide Action Center, Illinois Healthcare Association and many others.
Smithereen has been serving customers since 1888, when first-generation owner E.R. Jennings, a Chicago pharmaceutical salesman, developed an effective non-toxic solution to protect from lice and fleas. The former Smithereen Exterminators continued to evolve throughout the years and in 2001, Smithereen Exterminating Company – America’s Pied Piper, became Smithereen Pest Management Services – Your Partner for a Healthy Environment.
“The new name accurately reflects Smithereen’s commitment to continuing the use of Integrated Pest Management techniques and developing innovative strategies and long-term solutions,” Seifert said. “We’ll look forward to introducing that philosophy to our new customers.”
