SMO Team Member Named BSCAI Building Service Employee of the Year
Supreme Maintenance Organization team member, Marlene Lash, as been awarded the Building Service Employee of the Year Award at the 2019 BSCAI Contracting Success Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
GREENSBORO, N.C., Dec. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Supreme Maintenance Organization's Marlene Lash has won the 2019 BSCAI Building Service Employee of the Year Award. Lash was honored in November at the annual Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) Contracting Success Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her award at the convention's opening general session. Lash was selected from nominees across the nation as the building service contracting employee whose job performance, civic involvement and family role best exemplify qualities found in superior custodial employees.
When Marlene joined Supreme Maintenance Organization (SMO) in 1995, she began a stellar career in the building service industry. She has served SMO clients over the past 24 years with dedication, commitment, integrity and a work ethic that goes above and beyond. Marlene has received numerous customer service recognitions over her tenure, including the very first Georgia Pacific Take Notice Award in 2018 and the SMO J. D. Murphy Team Member of the Year. While also serving SMO, Marlene completed 41 years of faithful service in the textile industry, retiring from Cone Mills in 2019.
Marlene has given selflessly to the Greensboro community through her service to Poplar Grove AME Church in Greensboro, the Anointed Vessel and Second-Generation Anointed Vessel of Poplar Grove AME, the Salvation Army, and Under the Bridge, to name a few. While not only directing their performances and raising funds to support the group, Marlene has assisted with the Anointed Vessel's and Second-Generation Anointed Vessel's community service through planning, distribution, and serving of food to the homeless and needy on the streets of Greensboro and in the distribution of pillows and blankets with men's shelters in Raleigh. Additionally, the group has served the Salvation Army with Bell Ringing support and served food to the homeless community through Under the Bridge.
