Before his venture capital career, Matthew gained valuable insights into the financial services and agency recruiting sectors, where he collaborated with major corporations to attract and retain top talent.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Strategy, both from Pepperdine University. He attributes much of his success to influential mentors, including Dr. Stewart Davenport, who instilled in him the importance of lifelong learning. He also credits John Paulk, COO of his former employer, for teaching him the significance of strategic leadership. Notably, Stephen Chan, Head of Middle School at a Southern California private school, has profoundly impacted Matthew's leadership growth and his commitment to stakeholder engagement.
