Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® Partners with North Jersey's Center for Food Action (CFA) to Help Local Children in Need

CARLSTADT, N.J., Dec. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Employees at Snow Joe® + Sun Joe®, a leading New-Jersey based lawn and garden tools manufacturer, took a break from their busy work day this holiday season to help assemble zip lock bags full of nutritious snacks for the Center for Food Action's (CFA's) Weekend Snack Pack Program on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the company's corporate headquarters located at 305 Veterans Blvd in Carlstadt, NJ.

Many children who receive free or reduce-priced school meals are left without adequate nutrition on the weekends and holiday breaks. CFA's Weekend Snack Pack Program helps fill this gap by providing hearty weekend snacks. Last year, CFA distributed over 35,000 snack packs to local children in need at 14 area schools.

Center for Food Action in New Jersey (CFA) has as its mission, "preventing hunger and homelessness and improving the lives of individuals and families living in poverty". To this end, CFA provides emergency food packages, rental and utility assistance, counseling, advocacy and other essential services. Last year CFA distributed over 65,000 emergency food packages, helped 1,200 families with homelessness prevention services, distributed over 35,000 weekend snack packs and a host of other services.
