SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Jan. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SoCal VA Homes, the company that offers "Homes and Loans for Veterans" and The Veteran's Chamber of Commerce, the association on a mission to collaborate with other organizations, all in support of Veterans have joined forces in an effort to increase Veterans home ownership. As a natural result, they intend to decrease Veteran's homelessness too.
One of the Chamber's core programs, Housing for Heroes (H4H) which focuses on homeownership, is the result of the visionary director of the Chamber, Joseph Molina. This program has a waiting list of licensed real estate agents eager to enroll in the program's certification course so they can better serve the Veteran community.
The intention of the certification course is to dramatically raise the bar of "acumen levels" for real estate agents who service the Veteran community. To accomplish that, the H4H certification course ultimately tests for a mastery of the core knowledge necessary to serve Veteran clients who desire to use their VA loan to purchase a home.
"Joe and I saw the synergy right away," says Peter Van Brady, founder and CEO of SoCal VA Homes. "Because we have over a decade of boots on the ground in this market, we were able to add lots of value to his certification course in two ways."
An Army Veteran and passionate about his community, Mr. Molina's background is in education. A fervent advocate for Veterans, Mr. Brady's background is in real estate and lending, specifically for Veterans.
"Thanks to his experience, Peter was able to add many elements to the final testing around the technical aspects of transactions involving VA loans," said Joe. "And we both saw the value in adding his company's certification for the Veteran's Angel Program to compliment the H4H program."
SoCal VA Homes has its own certification for The Veteran's Angel Program, known as the Veteran's Angel Agent (VAA) Certification. This program trains agents on three tactical advantages which have proven to increase the likelihood of a "VA offer" (offer to purchase, using a VA loan) getting accepted and resulting in a successful purchase by the Veteran.
By raising the bar in the real estate community, both organizations in the collaboration intend to improve home ownership levels among the community. In doing that, they also want to encourage the purchase of multi-family units by Veterans, who will then be encouraged to provide transitional housing for homeless Veterans.
