Social Media Mobile Content Set to Unlock New Asian Telecomms Markets
Bangkok (PRWEB UK) 22 October 2013 -- Capacity Asia announces the final line-up of speakers for Asia’s leading wholesale telecommunications conference in the region which includes global leaders Twitter and Google alongside regional players including CAT Telecom, China Telecom, NTT Communications, True International Gateway and PCCW Global.
Over 500 C-suite delegates will descend on Bangkok’s Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers for three days from 29th to 31st October. A key theme of the event is to help attendees unlock the potential of key strategic Asian markets including China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Bangladesh.
Commenting on the event, Senior Conference Producer, Ian Ferguson, said, “The wholesale market is largely invisible to consumers who are increasingly using smart phones for everything from sharing photos and videos to mobile banking, but they are the major beneficiaries of the explosion in mobile content traffic. Capacity Asia creates a focus to explore opportunities in telecoms markets across Asia-Pacific and tap into their dynamic growth potential.”
Each day of the conference will focus on a different theme; Day One will examine Content & OTT services; Day Two will look at Wholesale Innovation and the last day will be given over to a specific focus on the markets of China and IndoChina.
He continues: “The explosion in social media content on mobile devices in Asia is driving rapid growth across the entire telecoms supply chain from wholesale carriers to apps developers. We can expect the next year to be characterised by demand led innovation in the market.”
The event features individual expert presentations from senior industry figures balanced with panel discussions that allow for informal discussion among peers from complementary areas of the industry. Senior figures from Google and Twitter will feature on a panel exploring how the industry can support the uptake of content services in video gaming and OTT. A financial analyst from DBS Vickers will give an overview of change and growth in Asian telecoms markets while another session will identify new business opportunities in Indochina.
Summarising the event’s appeal, Ferguson concluded; “In just three days, Capacity Asia provides all the regional industry networking that it would take months to achieve. All of the serious players will be there.”
