Social Solutions Global, Inc. Donates More than 350 Volunteer Hours to Baltimore Community
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Social Solutions Global, Inc., a Baltimore-based software firm providing industry-leading performance management tools to more than 16,000 human service providers, last week donated 365 volunteer hours to Baltimore-area nonprofit organizations through its Volunteer Impact Program (VIP).
The volunteer event was held in conjunction with the company’s annual summer meeting and employee appreciation party. On Friday, July 18, more than 100 Social Solutions employees, friends and family members volunteered at 10 Baltimore-area organizations, including Helping Up Mission, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, the Human Society, Paul’s Place, Franciscan Center, Our Daily Bread, My Sister’s Place, BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue Care Shelter), Living Classrooms and Parks & People. An album of photos from the event and other VIP activities in 2014 can be accessed here.
Social Solutions’ VIP program, which was launched earlier this year during National Volunteer Week, provides employees four paid days a year to volunteer at nonprofit and charitable organizations of their choice. The company expects to donate more than 3,500 hours of employee time through the volunteer program in 2014.
“As a Baltimore-based organization, we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to dedicate more than 350 employee hours to volunteering at local nonprofit organizations that are a vital part of our community. The Volunteer Impact Program provides a meaningful way for our employees and our organization to reaffirm our commitment to support nonprofit and government organizations as they work to help those most in need,” said Scott Johnson, CEO of Social Solutions.
