Backup and Availability Data Quadrant reveals top four leaders according to reviews by software users.

In general, Backup and Availability software users were most satisfied with backup automation, and were most dissatisfied with ease of customization.

SoftwareReviews, a division of world-class IT research and consulting firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its 2020 Backup and Availability Data Quadrant Awards, naming four vendors as Gold Medalists. The following vendors are leaders according to the feedback provided by their end users via SoftwareReviews’ comprehensive online survey. Vendors were rated on their product features, vendor capabilities, and the relationship with their software partner:

Rubrik, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +87, performed well overall, receiving top product ranking in 9 categories, with the highest scores in ease of implementation, file explorer granular restore, virtual machine backup, and vendor support. Acronis Cyber Backup, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +88, ranked very well in the backup of cloud-based data, deduplication implementation, backup automation, and backup monitoring and reporting. Veritas Backup Exec, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +86, satisfied users with replication for long-term storage, as well as disaster recovery and vendor support.
