2020 Email Backup Solutions Data Quadrant reveals top four leaders according to reviews by software users

In general, email backup solution software users were most satisfied with vendors’ ease of data integration and vendor support capabilities, and gave lowest scores for breadth of features.

SoftwareReviews, a division of world-class IT research and consulting firm Info-Tech Research Group, announces the publication of its 2020 Email Backup Solutions Data Quadrant Awards today, naming four gold medalists based on reviews by real users. The following vendors are leaders according to software users’ answers to questions focused on user satisfaction with features and capabilities, which have been crafted by seasoned IT industry analysts and backed by 22 years of IT research:

1.    Dropsuite
2.    Mimecast
3.    NovaBACKUP
4.    Veritas

Dropsuite, with a Net Emotional Footprint score of +97, ranked highest among software users, earning the number-one spot in most areas, shining brightest for its transaction log backup restore, backup archiving, mailbox backup restore, business value created, ease of data integration, and ease of implementation. Mimecast users were exceedingly satisfied, giving the vendor top scores in many areas, including quality of features, vendor support, security, and support for backup types, with a Net Emotional Footprint score of +90. NovaBACKUP, with a Net Emotional Footprint score of +88, earned top product for ease of customization and second place in many areas, including media support. Veritas did consistently well, with second place in many areas, including information store backup restore and permissions awareness, with a Net Emotional Footprint score of +94.

In general, email backup solution software users were most satisfied with vendors’ ease of data integration and vendor support capabilities, and gave lowest scores for breadth of features. As for features, users gave the highest score for compliance, and the lowest scores for transaction log and information store backup restore.
