Frances Reimers and her branding skill sets are vital for every military coach to tell their story properly so they can advance faster in their coaching career.

Soldiers to Sidelines, a national nonprofit that provides training and opportunities for military members transitioning into careers as athletic coaches, has recently added personal branding expert Frances Reimers to its Advisory Board.

Founded by former Washington Redskins Strength and Conditioning Coach Harrison Bernstein, Soldiers to Sidelines has helped more than 200 current and former service members transition into careers as athletic coaches. The nonprofit provides its members with comprehensive seminars, the ability to participate in youth clinics, and the opportunity to connect with youth, high school or collegiate sports programs.

“Service members have many trained skills like work ethic, discipline, and mission that translate perfectly to coaching young athletes,” said Bernstein. “Frances Reimers and her branding skill sets are vital for every military coach to tell their story properly so they can advance faster in their coaching career. Additionally, Ms. Reimers’ expertise helps Soldiers To Sidelines share their story so more service members and vets will take advantage of our services and live more fulfilled lives.”

Reimers is the founder and CEO of Firestarter, a personal brand firm located in Alexandria, VA. Firestarter helps collegiate and professional athletes, coaches, and sports executives to create, manage, grow, and protect their brand through strategic marketing and public relations tactics. Some of Firestarter’s current and former clients include individuals in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, and various Division I athletic programs.

“Coaches have one of the most complex personal brand challenges in sports,” said Reimers. “Growing up in a military family, and having a brother who's a coach, I’m thrilled to lend my personal branding expertise to help service members successfully transition from military service into being coaches with high-functioning brands.”
