We are committed to recognizing the companies who continually raise the bar, moving their industry and professionals forward.

SourceMedia today announced publication of the 2019 Best Fintechs to Work For, an annual ranking that recognizes and honors the best employers in the world of financial technology. The 2019 ranking highlights 50 companies that have in common their commitment to create working environments that make team-members feel valued.

The Best Fintechs to Work For taps into SourceMedia’s engaged community of digital innovators and influencers, convened through its flagship financial industry brands: American Banker, PaymentsSource, National Mortgage News, Financial Planning, Digital Insurance and Credit Union Journal.

“We are committed to recognizing the companies who continually raise the bar, moving their industry and professionals forward,” said Gemma Postlethwaite, SourceMedia’s CEO.

This year’s ranking comprises a diverse range of companies, including digital small-business lenders, wealth management software developers, direct mortgage lenders, digital banks and payments platforms. They include startups with as few as 15 employees and mature companies with headcounts in the thousands, a reflection of the reality that competition and partnership among newly minted fintechs and larger, more established players have spurred the latter to adapt, shifting not just their approaches to R&D and M&A, but in how they interact with employees and recruits.

"At a time when employee recruitment and retention is top of mind, the Best Fintechs to Work For companies are raising the bar on what it means to create a supportive workplace culture," said Richard Melville, Group Editorial Director at SourceMedia. “Financial services companies in particular can learn from the examples set by these forward-thinking companies.”
