Southland Mall to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Kids Week, July 22-27, Along with Monthly Festive Fridays with Fun Family Entertainment

MIAMI, July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Southland Mall will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Kids Week with a fun-filled schedule of events from Monday, July 22 through Saturday, July 27, 2019. Events will feature activities from Miami Children's Museum, the Miami Marlins, Zoo Miami, the Miami HEAT, Superstar Productions, Fantasy Theatre Factory, GiGi's Academy and more. In celebration of the 10th anniversary, Southland Mall will also be giving away a $500 TJ Maxx gift card.

Kids Week is a summer celebration, which was created from the already popular Southland Mall's Kids' Club offering monthly events. With kids out of school and parents looking for fun activities and events to take them, Kids Week was a natural progression and a great way to reward the families shopping at Southland Mall.

July Festive Friday events include:

• Friday, July 12, 6-8 p.m. at the Center Court – Art & Juice is back to show kids how to create a summer themed painting. Come by, participate, paint and enjoy a cup of juice as a special treat.
• Friday, July 19, 6-8 p.m. at the Center Court – Sing and dance to the music of the talented Steve Falk, as he returns to the Festive Friday stage for a special performance.

Kids Week events at the Center Court include:

• Monday, July 22, 12-4 p.m. – Miami Children's Museum will provide a 4-hour interactive program with arts & crafts activities, along with a theatrical performance of "Pete the Cat."
• Monday, July 22, 1-3 p.m. – Wear your best Miami HEAT gear and enter to win tickets to the HEAT pre-season games in October.
• Tuesday, July 23, 3-5 p.m. – Enjoy face painting and stilt walker hijinks from Superstar Productions.
• Tuesday, July 23, 6 p.m. – Fantasy Theatre Factory will perform "Whales, Magic and Cheese…Oh My" featuring Jojo, a great kid who loves to read and learns about self-esteem and bullying prevention.
• Wednesday, July 24, 2-4 p.m. – Bring the little ones to create special paintings guided by Raquel Torrent from Art & Juice Painting Workshops.
• Wednesday, July 24, 2-4 p.m. – The Miami Marlins Street Team returns, bringing music, games and plenty of prize giveaways for kids.
• Thursday, July 25, 4 p.m. – Abracadabra, it's magic time for the kids. Enjoy an interactive magic show, featuring music, games, prizes and more.
• Friday, July 26, 6 p.m. – Join us for a special Festive Friday performance with Mexican Folkloric dancers and musicians.
• Saturday, July 27, 1-3 p.m. – Grand Finale featuring Zoo Miami with some very special furry friends and iHeart Radio 93.9FM midday personality GiGi Diaz and a special performance by dancers from GiGi's Academy.
