With 20 years' experience in technology, management consulting and ecommerce, Melnik is charged with leading Sovos' long-range plan in a market undergoing rapid change driven by the digital transformation of sales and use tax.

Earlier, he founded ToyFlow.com, a deal-of-the-day website, where he created business processes, built the technology platform, and designed marketing and customer acquisition programs. Melnik was previously vice president of customer experience at Upland PowerSteering, which grew from a startup into an industry leader during his tenure. A former consultant at big five accounting firm Arthur Andersen, Melnik earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Concordia University and his master's in business administration from Boston College.
