Space Strategies Consulting Limited (SSCL) Wins Beyond-Line-of-Sight Project Thanks to Astrapi Corporation's Innovative Spiral Modulation Technology

DALLAS, Sept. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Astrapi Corporation is pleased to announce the closing of a license with Space Strategies Consulting, LLC to explore the use of Spiral Modulation technology for non-satellite Beyond-Line-of-Sight applications. Astrapi's Spiral Modulation provides a structured way to dramatically increase spectral efficiency by exploiting the capabilities of a continuously-changing spectrum. This innovative solution addresses critical problems in telecommunications, including greatly increasing data throughput, efficient bandwidth usage, reduced signal power requirements, improved interference rejection, and lower latency.

This research will eventually provide benefits for a wide variety of defense and commercial communication systems. For example, the satellite DVB-S2 industry network standard reflects a broad potential market for Spiral Modulation-enabled radio platforms. Other potential markets include those serviced by Cellular (4G- and emerging 5G-LTE), Wireless Local Area Network (802.11 a/g/n), Digital Audio and Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DAB, DVB-T), Cable Service (DOCSIS 3.1), and Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL and VDSL2) among others. Defense uses include Protected Tactical Waveforms, Unmanned Aerial Systems and Vehicles (UAS/UAV), ground terminals, Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), and many others.

Phase I project results will demonstrate the ability of Astrapi's Spiral Modulation to provide of more resilient and efficient BLOS links.
