SpaceStudio FPGA-MPSoC development environment supports Intel FPGA

Space Codesign Systems (, a leading provider of an end-to-end automated solution from high-level application specification to physical board compilation, introduces system-level optimization and full-system compiler for Intel FPGA. The new version of Space Codesign’s tool enables system designers to create their system for both Intel and Xilinx.

System designers struggle to compare the performance of their application on Intel FPGA and Xilinx. “They are often caught up in the exclusive design flow, and change requires months of adaptation,” says Dr. Guy Bois, founder and president of Space Codesign Systems. “Our solution provides a unique design flow that can seamlessly target both Intel FPGA and Xilinx in the effort of reducing cost.”

SpaceStudio V3.2 provides a simulation environment to validate and predict performance of early-designed applications for Intel FPGA including ARM Cortex A9 and Nios II processors. The optimized system is compiled for Intel FPGA boards (e.g., Cyclone V and Arria 10) where hardware functions are automatically synthesized by Intel HLS Compiler and integrated into the full system to be executed on a physical board.
