Given the importance of virtual learning and educational access at this time of national crisis, I am proud of the work Spark 101 has done to help teachers, parents, students and jobseekers explore STEM careers from the safety of their homes.

Finalists and winners for The EdTech Awards 2020 have been announced to a worldwide audience of educators, technologists, students, parents, and policymakers interested in building a better future for learners and leaders in the education and workforce sectors.
Spark 101, a program of the 114th Partnership, was selected as the winner in the Open Educational Resource (OER) category of the EdTech Cool Tool Awards.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the EdTech Awards is the largest recognition program in all of education technology. The awards recognize people and organizations for outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere.
“This year has been different, to say the least. However, despite formidable challenges brought about by world events—including locked-down cities, standstill travel, and closed offices, businesses and schools—we endure,” said Victor Rivero, who as Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest, oversees the program.
“While the EdTech Awards salutes all those on the front lines of help, with an extraordinary shift to online learning, really acknowledging the innovators, leaders, and trendsetters—particularly in our field—is more important than ever,” said Rivero.
Tiffany Godbout, President of the 114th Partnership, added, “Given the importance of virtual learning and educational access at this time of national crisis, I am proud of the work Spark 101 has done to help teachers, parents, students and jobseekers explore STEM careers from the safety of their homes. For many years we have admired the work EdTech undertakes to highlight advancements in the field of education technology, and we are honored to be selected as the Cool Tool Winner in the Open Educational Resource category.”
