Donors Submit March Madness Brackets for Chance to Win Big for Their Favorite D.C.-area Charity

Rob Sobhani, founder and CEO of Sparo says, “As we get set to launch our platform more broadly into the market, we want to inspire those who love participating in March Madness to use that spirit of competition to help their favorite local charities win a major donation.”

Sparo Corporation, developer of the Sparo community giving platform, an early stage technology platform designed to make charitable giving fun and easy, is calling on college basketball lovers and local supporters alike to participate in “Charity Madness” to benefit a local D.C. area charity of their choice.

Players can participate in “Charity Madness” by making a $20 tax-deductible donation per bracket to the Sparo sweepstakes and submitting their tournament picks between March 17-21, 2019. The three players with the most accurate brackets will win at least $5,000 each on behalf of their favorite participating D.C.-area charitable organization. Each player may submit as many donations and brackets as they wish to increase their chances of winning the tournament for their charity.

Those winning players also receive gift cards worth $5,000, and the fourth most accurate prediction will win a round trip ticket to London.

"Sparo is changing the way donations are made to help charities win,” said Rob Sobhani, founder and CEO of Sparo. “As we get set to launch our platform more broadly into the market, we want to inspire those who love participating in March Madness to use that spirit of competition to help their favorite local charities win a major donation.”

For more information on the Sparo community giving platform, visit https://www.SparoPrize.com and https://charitymadness.org/charity. Sparo will charge a 5% administrative fee to cover the costs of helping participating charities secure donations with little effort. More than 20 local charities are participating in the campaign including BUILD Metro DC, Lucky Dog, Urban Alliance Foundation, Washington Nationals Dream Foundation’s Youth Baseball Academy and World Central Kitchen.

NOTE: “Charity Madness” is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCAA or the March Madness tournament.
