Spartan Bioscience Opens New Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada
Ottawa, Ontario (PRWEB) October 15, 2015 -- Spartan Bioscience today announced the opening of its new headquarters at 2934 Baseline Road, Suite 500, Ottawa, Canada. The facility contains new research laboratories and expanded manufacturing capabilities.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured Mr. Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa, and Mr. Joe Adachi, President and CEO of Canon U.S.A. and Chairman of Canon Canada. Other Canon representatives included Mr. Seymour Liebman, executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel of Canon U.S.A., and Ms. Akiko Tanaka, President and CEO of Canon BioMedical. Canon U.S.A. is a strategic investor in Spartan Bioscience, and Mr. Liebman is a member of Spartan’s Board of Directors.
Also in attendance were representatives from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Carleton University, and the University of Ottawa. Spartan Bioscience has a long history of successful collaborations with Ottawa’s top academic institutions.
