Specific Diagnostics Announces Sponsored Research Agreement with the University of Versailles-St Quentin in Paris, France
Specific Diagnostics today announced it has entered into a sponsored agreement with the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines to conduct a year-long study to evaluate the performance of the Reveal Rapid AST System and consumable assays.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Specific Diagnostics today announced it has entered into a sponsored agreement with the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines to conduct a year-long study to evaluate the performance of the Reveal Rapid AST System and consumable assays. Current methodologies require at least one day to determine the effective antibiotic while the Reveal instrument provides antibiotic susceptibility results in an average of 5 hours, allowing same-shift impact.
This agreement enables the university to employ a full-time research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Martin Rottman, who runs a lab in the Infection and Inflammation Unit at the University and INSERM (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research). The research assistant will lead the study over a 12-month period in volunteer bacteriology laboratories in the Greater Paris area.
