The new strategy execution software features interactive geographic maps, customizable scoring, forms for collecting any type of data, and integrations with over 5,000 SaaS tools.
ARLINGTON, Va., October 12, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Spider Strategies today introduced Spider Impact 5.5, which brings exciting new data visualization and data import capabilities to the industry's leading strategy execution software. Spider Impact 5.5 features new ways for organizations to visualize their progress toward meeting strategic goals, including interactive geographic maps and reports with heatmap-style coloring. With new customizable scoring, organizations have complete control over how they measure their performance. Version 5.5 adds even more ways of importing data into Spider Impact, including user-built forms and integrations with thousands of apps through Zapier. These groundbreaking advancements make Spider Impact even more indispensable for companies, governments, and nonprofits.
"What we're most proud of in this release are all of the new ways to import and visualize data," said Scott O'Reilly, Cofounder of Spider Strategies. "Spider Impact has long been the leader in strategy execution, but its new Business Intelligence back-end truly transforms data into actionable insights. Spider Impact is the only strategy execution software powered by BI, and is the only BI software focused on executing strategy."
*A New Class of Data Visualization*
New interactive maps in Spider Impact allow levels of data visualization previously unseen in strategy execution software. Regions on geographic maps show colors based on their performance, and users click or tap on regions to drill down to the next level of detail. Clicking on a country zooms to states or provinces. Clicking again smoothly zooms to counties, postal codes, or cities. For data spanning across multiple countries, users have the ability to visualize geographic performance through either two dimensional maps or a new, three dimensional spinning globe view.
Newly designed reports allow users to create heatmap-style coloring, instantly conveying data values visually. For example, darker shades of blue in a sales report column could represent higher values, allowing a sales manager to instantly see their top performers. Users can choose from a wide range of color palettes, including light-to-dark shades of a single color, or a scoring-style palette of reds, yellows, and greens.
*Complete Scoring Flexibility*
Spider Impact 5.5 introduces flexible new scoring options that allow organizations to view performance data in the way that best matches their culture. Instead of 0 to 10 scores, organizations can now choose any minimum and maximum value. They have the ability to view scores as either a number or a percentage. They can even allow scores to go outside the minimum and maximum values, with a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that doubles its goal receiving a score of 200%.
The new Text scoring types in version 5.5 allow users to measure text-based values in KPIs. For example, instead of requiring a numerical input of 0 to 5 for a satisfaction survey, the KPI update form can now have a dropdown with options like "Not Satisfied", "Indifferent", and "Very Satisfied". Each possible value has a unique score, allowing it to be compared with traditional numerical KPIs.
*Pull Data from Virtually Anywhere*
Spider Impact 5.5 features the ability to import data from over 5,000 new applications through Zapier. These new Software-as-as-Service (SaaS) tool integrations dramatically increase the ability of Spider Impact's customers to manage all of their data on a single platform.
Sometimes, however, the data that organizations need does not exist digitally. To address this, the new Forms section in Spider Impact 5.5 allows organizations to easily build and share data collection forms. The layout and flow is completely open-ended, allowing organizations to create surveys and mini-apps that supplement existing data sources or collect entirely new information.
These new data import features all harness Spider Impact's powerful data transformations for cleaning and combining data, and they work in concert with existing spreadsheet and database imports. Combined, this data import functionality gives organizations the ability to manage all of their performance data on a single platform.
