Raritan Physical Therapy Releases New Video Featuring Cincinnati Bengals' Mohamed Sanu Discussing His Success Working with Trainer Ivan Candelaria
Edison, NJ (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- When Cincinnati Bengals’ wide receiver Mohamed Sanu met the most sought-after sports rehab specialist in the Northeast, Ivan Candelaria, it was a defining moment for both of them. Now that training relationship is documented with a new video and transcript on Raritan Physical Therapy’s website for all to enjoy.
Entitled “Cincinnati Bengals: Mohamed Sanu,” the video explores the trainer-trainee dynamic and how the relationship developed between the NFL player and the renowned sports rehab therapist, Candelaria.
Obtaining his undergraduate degree in 2000 from the University of Connecticut, Ivan Candelaria has worked hard to build himself such a distinguished career so quickly. He currently acts as the Director of Sports Rehabilitation at Peak Performance Rehabilitation in Staten Island, New York and is also the owner and founder of RAD Radical Athletic Development consulting. He has worked with players from the NFL, the NBA, the WNBA, and MLS.
Sanu heard of Candelaria through other players, and they began building their dynamic—one of trust and encouragement. “He goes nonstop,” says Sanu of Candelaria in the video. “He’ll have you there working. You’re always jumping from this exercise to this exercise to this exercise, so you’re always constantly moving, constantly.”
“Working out with him got me back into playing in that comfort zone,” Sanu continues. “He did a tremendous job with helping me excel at that moment in time.”
The video shows an interview with Sanu, juxtaposed with images of the training Sanu underwent at Candelaria’s behest. Sanu ends the interview with a wholehearted endorsement of Candelaria and his methods, saying he would definitely recommend Candelaria to other athletes.
