Sports 1 Marketing Becomes New Corporate Partner to GoodBookey, a Charitable Sports Betting App for College Football Season
IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) August 22, 2018 -- Sports 1 Marketing, a world leader in digital marketing, takes on a partnership role for the up and coming social impact gaming company GoodBookey, who have created a sports gambling app where users donate to charities, compete with friends, and play for prizes. Launching on August 27th, S1M and its affiliates will be sponsoring a custom game series known as the 2018 Charity College Football Pick’em Challenge. The partnership between S1M and GoodBookey, two notable forces in the sports world, has come to fruition for the start of college football season with the intention of raising funds for some of their charitable partners: The Unstoppable Foundation, the Crescent Moon Foundation, Chive Charities, the American Cancer Society, and the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation.
“GoodBookey’s ability to combine fun with fundraising is exactly what we look for in a partner,” said David Meltzer, CEO of Sports 1 Marketing, “we are looking forward to raising money for charity, helping people, and having a lot of fun this college football season.”
Some of the sponsors include: Entrepreneur, XBOX, Block Party Suites, MyBookie, and Wheels Up. The challenge will run as a 16-week event, where participants select five teams from the Top 25 rankings, with point values assigned based on the moneyline odds. Each week will feature a new charity and new winners. Winners are eligible to receive prizes gifted by the sponsor, bragging rights, and the satisfaction of knowing that their sports bet with a friend went to a good cause. Winning (and losing) has never felt so good!
“We couldn’t ask for a better partner than Sports 1 Marketing,” commented Tony Pease, Founder of GoodBookey, “their relationships and desire to help others makes this a perfect match.”
Last year, the American Gaming Association estimated that Americans spend between $100 billion and $300 billion on illegal sports gambling every year. GoodBookey aims to redirect some of that traffic into a safe, fun, and impactful application they call charitable sports betting. The startup has already seen vast success since its initial launch in 2016. Publicis Groupe, a French PR company, awarded GoodBookey with $110,000 in prize money in July of 2017. They have been using this money and newfound success to foster more powerful relationships, with Sports 1 Marketing and GoodBookey bringing major brands to the project. This partnership for the 2018 Charity College Football Pick’em Challenge is shaping up to be a real winner.
