SportsDirect.com Take a Look at Adult Only Holidays
(PRWEB UK) 2 August 2013 -- If you have young children you may not have been on a ‘adult only’ holidays for quite some time. Instead you have probably endured plenty of holidays to Spain, Cornwall and Wales spending time splashing around in the pool, being dragged up on stage during the children’s entertainment and dressing up! However, everyone needs time away from the kids, and it is fine to admit that, so pack your smaller suitcase and get going!
In a survey carried out by Thomson, 46% of parents stated that they would like to spend any extra adults-only time on holiday and half said they’d feel guilty if they went on holiday and left their children behind. But planning a break with just you and your partner doesn’t mean that you have to leave the children out. If you can afford it, you can go on a family holiday in the school holidays and then sneak off on a holiday for two later on in the year. Also don’t forget that whilst you’re away and the kids are staying with their grandparents or aunties and uncles they will feel like they’re on holiday too – we all know much grandparents love to spoil the little ones!
You don’t want to choose a destination or hotel where children will be running around – this is quality time for the both of you and being surrounded by children will just make you miss yours more. Places like Las Vegas or Mexico might spring to mind but if you’re after something a little closer and less expensive then Turkey, Crete and Majorica all have premier hotels that are catered just for adults and aren’t too far away.
Whether you use a travel agents or you’re booking it yourself you will find plenty of hotels and package deals that are exclusively for adults and scream luxury! Although you may think luxury means expensive, you may be pleasantly surprised just how much you’ll save by going in school term time rather than the holidays, and if it’s your first time away without the kids a week will probably be long enough.
If you don’t think you’re ready to dive straight in with a week long holiday without the children, or you simply don’t have time or the money to do both, then try to escape for a weekend away in the countryside, city or even a Spa break. You deserve a break to yourselves!
