SportsSignup Ranks No. 2,784 on the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 List Joins Elite Company of Two-Time Honorees
Saratoga Springs, NY (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- SportsSignup, a national leader in online registration management solutions for sports organizations, has earned a place in the Inc. Magazine 500|5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for the second consecutive year, an honor that places SportsSignup alongside some of the titans of American business.
SportsSignup ranks No. 2,784 overall on the 500|5000 list for 2013, No. 213 among software companies and No. 163 in New York State. In 2012, SportsSignup was ranked No. 1,687 overall and No. 134 among software companies on the 500|5000 list.
In congratulating SportsSignup CEO Anthony Bruno for the company’s success, Eric Schurenberg, Editor in Chief of Inc. Magazine, noted that SportsSignup had joined “rarefied company” as a two-time Inc. Magazine 500|5000 honoree. “The elite group you’ve now joined has, over the years, included companies such as Microsoft, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Oracle, and Zappos.com,” Mr. Schurenberg wrote.
“The Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in its history,” Mr. Schurenberg said. “The median company on the list increased sales more than 140 percent since the start of 2010, while the average honoree grew a mind-boggling 468 percent. Those are results most companies could only dream of in the economy of the past three years.”
SportsSignup’s three-year growth rate was 125 percent.
“This ranking and our results are a testament to our team’s amazing dedication and skill, and their relentless focus on delivering the best products and services to our customers,” Mr. Bruno said. “We could not sustain our pace of growth and high level of success without a team of professionals who come to work every day with a passion for building our company by understanding what our customers need and providing first-rate value and results. All of us at SportsSignup are tremendously proud of this achievement and what it represents.”
SportsSignup and other companies on the list will be honored at the 32nd Annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony, October 10-12, 2013, at the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C.
SportsSignup, celebrating its 10th year of business in 2013, has thousands of customers throughout the U.S. and internationally for its online registration, team communications and volunteer background checking services for youth sports. In recent years, the company has expanded into individual participation sports, offering online registration for such prominent events as the annual Freihofer’s Run for Women, which draws thousands of runners each June to downtown Albany, NY, and the Troy (NY) Turkey Trot, which in 2012 set a record with more than 8,000 participants.
SportsSignup opened its first satellite office in Mesa, AZ, in April 2012 to service its growing roster of clients in the Western U.S. and Canada, and recently moved its headquarters to a new suite of offices in Saratoga Springs, more than tripling its space to accommodate recent and expected growth in the organization.
“Now more than ever, we depend on Inc. 5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward,” Mr. Schurenberg said. “Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”
