Springboard To Present Webinars During National Financial Literacy Month
(PRWEB) March 31, 2016 -- Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management, Inc. (“Springboard”) is celebrating National Financial Literacy Month this April. Among the nonprofit organization’s offerings will be a pair of free financial webinars.
The upcoming webinars, “Understanding Your Credit Report and Score,” and “Road Map to Financial Freedom” will take place on April 7th and April 13th, respectively. Both webinars will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Pacific Daylight Time.
“Understanding Your Credit Report and Score” will teach participants how a credit score works and how it is calculated. The webinar will also cover what a consumer can do to ensure that his/her credit report is accurate and reflects positively on one’s creditworthiness.
“Road Map To Financial Freedom” is a free webinar that explains the steps one can take on a journey to financial freedom. It will explain several debt repayment strategies, like the debt-snowball or debt-avalanche, creditor workout plans or debt reduction through Springboard's Debt Management Plan to pay off unsecured debt.

Springboard’s Education and Community Outreach Coordinator, Lori Lamb, will present the webinars. “As a passionate financial educator for two decades,” said Melinda Opperman, Springboard’s Chief Relationship Officer, “Lori brings a strong background, experience and financial industry knowledge to help consumers understand their credit reports and succeed financially.”
National Financial Literacy Month was founded in 2003 by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE). It has grown to include a proclamation from the White House acknowledging the event as well as participation from a range of government agencies and nonprofit organizations like Springboard.
“The president called upon Americans to observe the month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices,” Opperman said. “That’s exactly what Springboard does, all year long. Financial Literacy Month is a natural fit for our agency.”
