The SOC 1 and 2 standards, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), are a widely recognized attestation certifying that Square 9's information security policies and procedures for handling data meet stringent principles for storage, security, availability and confidentiality.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Security Rule of 2003, commonly referred to as HIPAA addresses the security of electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). The addition of HIPAA certification extends Square 9's commitment of security availability and confidentiality to those customers that store any ePHI within GlobalSearch C2. This enables Square 9 to execute Business Associate Agreements with all covered entities, giving them the peace of mind that their information will be handled and secured according to confidentiality standards.
