MONTREAL, April 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The SRT Alliance, established by Haivision to support the SRT Open Source project, announces that Tata Communications, Panasonic, Edgeware, and DVSport have joined the SRT Alliance to show their support of the cross industry adoption of the SRT Open Source protocol. Over 50 industry-leading organizations have turned to SRT and joined the SRT Alliance within the last four months, bringing the total number of members to more than 350 companies.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), originally developed and open sourced by Haivision, is an open source video streaming protocol which enables remote and cloud-based high-performance video workflows. SRT is helping solution providers to solve today's challenges including newsgathering, remote production and the broadcaster's at-home workforce.
