SSL.com is honored by Adobe's decision to add us to its list of trusted digital certificate providers, allowing us to offer secure PDF document signing to our customers.
HOUSTON (PRWEB) November 21, 2019
Following careful review, SSL.com’s is now included in the Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL). The AATL is comprised of certificate authorities (CAs) that meet Adobe’s stringent assurance and technical standards for issuing trusted document signing certificates for use with Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, and other Adobe products. A PDF that has been digitally signed with an AATL-approved certificate from SSL.com will assure recipients that:
- The identity of the document signer is authentic.
- The content of the document has not been altered since it was signed. (Approval signatures, form fill-ins, and annotations may optionally be permitted when digitally certifying a PDF.)
Following the 1999 Digital Signature Act in the United States, and the European Union’s 2014 eIDAS (Electronic Identification, Authentication and Trust Services) Regulation, digital signatures have the same legal status as handwritten signatures, and offer legal non-repudiation for electronic documents.
