Implementation of statewide sexual assault kit tracking systems is underway in Texas, Nevada, Michigan and Arizona, while roll-out is complete across the State of Washington. STACS DNA is also working in Utah and Ontario to implement Track-Kit at every hospital and their respective newborn screening labs to track all newborn blood spot cards.

Track-Kit gives thousands of users across each jurisdiction visibility into the location and status of every kit – to increase transparency and reduce delays so that performance and legislative expectations are met. Track-Kit documents the full lifecycle of every kit, covering inventory, kit collection, transit, receipt at the lab, and handling after lab processing, sharing that information with authorized users, regardless of their location.
The ultimate goal is to improve public health and safety. Sexual assault kit tracking gives survivors, health care professionals, law enforcement, prosecutors and crime lab staff more control. Newborn screening tracking gives health care professionals, lab staff and NBS program staff crucial information they need to prevent delays and save lives.
STACS DNA continues to work with forensic DNA labs to enhance the indispensable STACS in-lab sample tracking and quality control software to meet their exact and evolving needs. Projects are underway to develop new capabilities for the FBI, RCMP and several state crime labs. STACS completed implementation earlier in the year at La Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN), Algeria's national police force, which is STACS DNA's first customer outside of North America.
