The new features, which include enhanced capabilities within the Student Success Matrix (SSMx), were announced today at Hobsons Summer Institute 2018.
Higher education institutions utilize various interventions and resources to encourage student engagement and break down barriers to student achievement. Hobsons' Intervention Inventory, known as the Student Success Matrix (SSMx), includes a robust Intervention Library enabling higher education institutions within the Starfish community to collaborate and share their high-impact practices and strategies.

Users of the Intervention Inventory within the Starfish Enterprise Success Platform will be able to search student success practices contributed by community members. These programs, interventions and tactics offer insight into how other institutions are assisting specific student demographics or tackling institutional initiatives, such as pell-eligible minority students, or closing the gender gap in stem.
In addition to the hundreds of shared community practices, the Hobsons Intervention Library includes 100 evidence-based, research-validated student success interventions. Each intervention is based on research from a peer-reviewed journal. All interventions are categorized by associated predictors of risk or success and details of the types of students it is designed to support. As part of the Student Success Matrix (SSMx), the Intervention Library enables users to view their interventions along side with the research-validated interventions they may wish to adopt and adapt for their own students with those same predictors of risk or success.
A third of the Starfish community are in attendance at Hobsons Summer Institute 2018. The event furthers Starfish's mission to encourage collaboration amongst education professionals and institutions. Members in attendance have participated in over 40 sessions led by education experts sharing high impact strategies and practices.
