Starlight Community Theater Brings Agatha Christie’s Ingenious Crime Story to Life with Performances of A Murder is Announced

Starlight Community Theater (SCT) will be presenting Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced for eleven (11) performances beginning Friday, October 12 and running through Sunday, October 28. This production will mark the third show of SCT’s 2018-2019 season and is presented by special arrangement through Samuel French.

Known to the world as classic crime story, A Murder is Announced kicks off with an announcement in the local paper that states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock's Victorian house. After the murder, audiences follow a puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities and a dramatic confrontation that will have them hanging on the edge of their seats.

The play version of A Murder is Announced was first presented by Peter Saunders at the Theatre Royal, Brighton; and subsequently at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, on September 21st, 1977. Since the books publishing, there have been several film, tv and play adaptations.
